Grab your kids, their siblings and mates and head to the Edmonds Band Rotunda by the Ōtākaro Avon River for Rangatahi Boogie on Saturday afternoon.
Show us your moves to waiata (song) from our favourite singing storytellers Greg Malcolm and Jenny Ward and Anika Moa (Ngāpuhi, Te Aupōuri). Head down from 2 – 3.30pm Saturday to get involved.
Fire on High 2024
Make your way to High Street on Saturday from midday to 8pm to experience 16 Christchurch chefs cooking over fire. Fire On High is a family-friendly, free event with Canterbury chefs cooking their favourite dishes for you to purchase.
The area will be set up at 172 High Street in front of Smash Palace.
WORD Festival

Head over to Collett’s Corner in Lyttelton on Saturday morning to explore the Lyttelton Craft and Treasure Market! All are welcome from 9am – 1pm to check out the locally made handcrafts and vintage treasures.

Can’t make it to the Lyttelton Market on Saturday? How about the Sunday Maker’s Market? The Sunday Maker’s Market is in the city centre on the corner of Montreal Street and Worcester Boulevard. The market offers locally made goods from artisan crafters as well as food vendors.
Browse stalls from your local makers and have a bite of delicious food from local vendors. The market is open from 10am – 3pm Sunday.
