New Plymouth Harcourts Expanding

Posted on August 4, 2008 by swiggs

This is a latest plan for us at Taranaki Harcourts. Our business here is going very well and our plans to expand and work closer to the community are becoming more real. This is a positive move forward for Harcourts in New Plymouth and Taranaki.

Growth plans prompt new Harcourts office in Taranaki
Fri, 01 Aug 2008

A plan to increase the size of its New Plymouth sales force has prompted Harcourts’ Taranaki franchise to set up a second office in the city, Co-owner Mark Ferguson announced today.
Mr Ferguson says Taranaki Property Specialists’ original Harcourts office in New Plymouth (on the corner of Robe and Vivian streets) is no longer big enough to comfortably accommodate the current team or to allow for any additional growth in the sales force.
“So, as part of our growth strategy we recently bought a house in the inner city which we have converted into an office and moved some of our team into,” he says.
The new office at 23 Hobson Street, which officially opened today, is home to the local Harcourts property management team and to a number of Mortgage Express brokers who assist Harcourts’ clients amongst others with their mortgage finance arrangements.
“With the property managers and mortgage brokers now based in the new office, we’ve got more room in our main office for the rest of the New Plymouth team, which includes 32 Sales Consultants along with management and support staff.  It also means we have the opportunity to achieve our goal of growing our sales force,” says Mr Ferguson, who co-owns Taranaki Property Specialists with John Christiansen and Jack Kurta.
“We are already the leading residential real estate agency in New Plymouth but we don’t just want to rest on our laurels,” says Mr Ferguson.  “We want to provide our first-class service to a greater number and variety of customers, and given we regularly get enquiries from people who are keen to join Harcourts New Plymouth office we’re confident it won’t be long before the space we’ve now got in our main office will be filled up again and we’ll be servicing even more New Plymouth customers.
“Plus, if things go according to plan we’ll also have some other exciting new ventures up and running in Taranaki within a few months,” he says.
Harcourts is represented throughout Taranaki, with offices in Bell Block, Hawera, Stratford, Inglewood and Waitara in addition to the two in New Plymouth.
