There is a bright constellation of events on throughout Ōtautahi-Christchurch this Matariki.
Matariki is a star cluster that rises in midwinter, signalling the start of the Māori New Year.
Matariki is a time for whānau and friends to come together to reflect on the past year, remember those who have passed away, and prepare for the seasons ahead.
From dazzling artworks to family story times, there’s plenty on around the city throughout the Matariki period. Check out some of the highlights below and visit the What’s On website for the latest.
