Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) is inviting the public to take a behind-the-scenes tour of the port to learn more about its vital role in the region’s economy and trade.

From Tuesday, July 16, to Friday, July 19, there will be two one-hour tours at 12:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Tickets are $5 per person and funds will go to Cholmondeley Children’s Centre.

Participants will hear from LPC staff guiding the tour and share their stories and insights on the port’s history, operations, and future.

The tour includes the Container Terminal, Inner Harbour, Cruise Berth, and historic Dry Dock. Graeme Sumner, CEO of Lyttelton Port Company, says LPC is looking forward to welcoming the public on-site and showing them what we do.

“We are proud of our role in the region and the country and want to share that with our community,” said Graeme Sumner.

LPC will donate all proceeds to Cholmondeley Children’s Centre, which provides a vital service to families with children aged 5-12 by providing short-term emergency or planned respite care. Bookings are essential.
