Over 4,000 residents and nearly 10,000 visitors have so far contributed to work on two Destination Management Plans for the region and a Christchurch city identity, or story, that defines who we are.
ChristchurchNZ has today called for local agencies to submit a registration of interest in helping develop the new city identity next year – effectively bringing our new story to life through a suite of resources. A shortlist of agencies will then be invited to take part in a request for proposal process later this year.
The registration of interest can be found here.
Chief Executive Ali Adams says this is a critical and exciting piece of work for our city and is keen to see local companies get involved.
“The Government requires every region around New Zealand to prepare Destination Management Plans that collaboratively aim to grow tourism in a way that best reflects the local community. Alongside that, we’re using the same community views, feedback and local research to create a city identity for Christchurch.
